This weeks column at ShirleyMacLaine.com is about Saturn and Uranus and its 45 year alignment. The daily aspects are there, too, as always.
Uranus and Saturn last opposed in the 1960′s giving rise to riots, escalation of the war, anti-war protests, race issues and much more that was revolutionary. For these past two years the world has experienced similar chaos in governments and society.
For the individual, this angle challenges the status quo and depending where it falls in your chart is where you will feel the most pressure. It is about maintaining what you have while finding ways to move forward and embrace new areas of life. For some it affects finances and for others it is relationships and so on.
Mercury is still retrograde in Taurus until May 11.
Looking ahead into the coming months I see a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn that will once again challenge and bring a need to pay attention to what is happening around the world. The eclipse is aligned with Pluto and at the same time the Sun will be opposing Pluto. There will be more revelations. Capricorn is the opposite sign to Cancer that reflects back on the significant energies experiences during the past year.
I have noticed many people are not seeing the full picture and do not see objectively but are caught in a mindset of rightousness that appears like automation (Saturn). There is a lessening of individual thought that is the resistance of Saturn to Uranus (freedom). This will bring those who are unwilling face to face with falsity and delusion of the past.
Newness is the key in that area of your chart where these energies are active. It can be exciting and bring opportunity. Uranus asks you to think for yourself.
